Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – New Britain, CT (School Setting)
Seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification for a part-time contract position in a school setting located in New Britain, Connecticut. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized speech and language therapy services to students in grades 2 through 4, supporting their communication development during the remainder of the school year.
Position Details:
- Contract role from February through mid-June
- Part-time schedule, 3 days per week
- Caseload focused on elementary school students, grades 2-4
- School environment, working directly with students, educators, and support staff
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically within school settings
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and intervention strategies for grades 2-4
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and therapy sessions for assigned caseload
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and goals
- Monitor and document progress regularly to inform instruction and services
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students’ academic success
- Provide consultation and recommendations to families and school personnel as needed
