Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | New Baltimore, Michigan

Step into a dynamic role providing onsite support for high school students in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity centers on serving general education students in grades 9-12, ensuring their academic and wellbeing needs are addressed through proactive speech and language support. You'll work closely with educators, counselors, and families to monitor student progress and compliance with Section 504 Plans, with the support of a collaborative team dedicated to student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active licensure as an SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA (school or healthcare experience considered)
- Experience or skillset in school-based pediatrics, speech-language pathology, and teletherapy
- Comfort supporting general education high school students
- Strong communication skills for regular contact with teachers, counselors, parents, and district staff
- Proficiency in Section 504 Plan oversight and compliance is an asset
- Previous exposure to caseload management and student monitoring in school settings
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person, onsite therapy and support services to high school students
- Oversee student monitoring and grade tracking to promote academic success
- Assist with Section 504 Plan implementation and compliance
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and other educational professionals
- Communicate regularly with parents through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person meetings
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the school community
- Adapt to evolving needs and additional duties as determined by the school
This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, 2027, with work hours from 7:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Friday. The caseload size will be determined and additional role details provided upon interview.
