Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington, DC
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an early childhood school in Washington, DC. This contract position offers an in-person role working 20 hours per week during the school year. The ideal candidate will hold a valid DC SLP license and possess experience working with early intervention and elementary caseloads.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid DC Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, specifically early intervention and elementary populations
- Familiarity with school-based SLP practices and healthcare or pediatric settings
- Experience or willingness to provide teletherapy services is a plus
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized therapy planning and progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessment, evaluation, and intervention to young children in early childhood education settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and school requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
- Deliver therapy services both in-person and via teletherapy platforms as needed
