Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Naperville, IL
Step into a rewarding contracted position as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 school year, where you’ll empower young learners to communicate and thrive. This full-time, in-person role will immerse you in a close-knit educational environment focused on personalized student progress, working primarily with the STARS Program. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across a wide spectrum of abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student’s IEP goals.
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to students’ unique challenges and strengths.
- Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and prepare detailed therapy notes.
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student achievement.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply evidence-based therapy techniques for students with autism spectrum disorders and complex communication profiles.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Prior school-based experience, especially supporting students with autism and complex communication needs, is highly valued.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and partnership-building skills.
Position Details:
- Assignment for the 2026–2027 school year, full-time Monday–Friday (33.75 hours/week, 8:45 AM–4:00 PM).
- Work setting is in person, serving a single school with a concentrated caseload in the STARS Program.
- District fingerprinting required prior to start.
