Speech-Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL

A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support elementary students from Pre-K through 5th grade in the Chicago, IL area. This position focuses on delivering high-quality speech and language services within a school setting, addressing the needs of a diverse caseload including students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and those receiving Response to Intervention (RTI) support.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted speech and language therapy to elementary students across Pre-K to 5th grade.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conducting assessments and maintaining thorough documentation to monitor student progress.
- Utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to meet the communication needs of students.
- Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State Licensure for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) Endorsement for SLP.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 2.5 days per week
Duration: Start on January 5th with assignment continuing through May 29th, 2026
