Speech Pathology - Des Plaines, IL
This opportunity calls for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support early childhood programs and evaluation services across multiple school sites in the Elgin, IL area. The position requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish and offers a contract role from January 5, 2026, through May 20, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services to students across a varied caseload.
- Serve multiple school locations including early childhood centers and itinerant positions, managing duties across up to two schools as assigned.
- Collaborate with school teams and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Maintain all required documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations.
- Support students ranging from early childhood to school-aged populations, adapting approaches based on age and developmental levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement.
- Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Candidates with Clinical Fellowship status are eligible, provided supervision can be arranged.
- Experience levels from 0 to 10+ years accepted, with commensurate compensation.
Work Details:
- Full-time contract position, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day).
- Assignments may include locations such as early childhood centers and elementary schools with variable full-time equivalency (FTE) allocations.
- On-site work is required with no remote flexibility.
