Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Rochester, IN
This full-time contract opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving students from preschool through 12th grade in a diverse school setting in Rochester, IN. The caseload includes approximately 70 students of varying abilities and needs, with about 30 students having speech or language impairment as their primary eligibility. You will serve as the teacher of record for those students and provide speech and language services as a teacher of service for others with secondary identification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations, assessments, and screenings for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and reporting
- Delivering services five days a week for a total of 35 hours per week, aligning with the full school year schedule
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with eligibility to work in schools
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but new graduates are welcome
- Experience or interest in working with pediatric populations in educational and healthcare environments
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, intervention techniques, and IEP development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
