Speech Language Pathologist in Modesto, CA
Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students’ communication journeys throughout the 2026/2027 school year. Drawing from your background in speech-language pathology, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and students across a diverse K-12 caseload. Your expertise will help ensure every student has the tools and strategies to succeed both academically and personally.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- California SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or candidate for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in a school setting is appreciated, but strong clinical fellows are welcome to apply
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with diverse teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings for K-12 students with communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services in both group and individual settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to foster student progress
- Keep organized documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and expand your skillset
