Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license (or eligibility for licensure) for Alabama
- Experience or comfort working with students in grades K-12, specifically grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- Knowledge of IEP processes and case management
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students across a broad grade range
- Evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders and provide comprehensive assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address a variety of student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and compliance requirements
- Offer support to teachers and staff regarding speech and language strategies for classrooms
- Engage families in the intervention process through regular updates and resources
