You'll work school-based hours and will be the go-to SLP for various leave coverages, offering stability and consistency for students in need.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Minnesota SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Adaptability for itinerant roles; able to travel to multiple sites as needed
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students with a range of communication needs, supporting their educational goals
- Complete thorough assessments and evaluations; create individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, other professionals, and families to promote students’ success
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, assessments, and progress
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide guidance regarding students’ speech and language needs
- Flexibly cover varying leave assignments; adapt to the needs of each new school setting
