A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an onsite school in Minneapolis, MN. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, both in-person and virtually. The caseload includes approximately 36 in-person students and 10 virtual students, with potential for additional evaluations and caseload growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to K-8 students, addressing various communication disorders
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Manage a mixed caseload of onsite and virtual students, adapting therapy approaches as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to ensure best practices in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or certification as an SLP
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in K-8 settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders relevant to childhood development
- Ability to effectively deliver therapy in both onsite and virtual formats
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to working full time onsite in a school environment
