Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed for onsite positions supporting students in a Delaware school district during the 2026-2027 school year. These contract roles require active Delaware SLP licensure and a commitment to working exclusively onsite with no virtual or SLPA options. Positions are available for Certified SLPs and new graduates holding their CCCs.
Locations and Caseloads:
- Early Childhood: Darley Road Preschool (Itinerant AM/Building PM) and Bush Early Education Center (Preschool Building)
- Elementary School: Harlan Elementary (General Education)
- Middle School: Springer Middle School (General Education)
- High School: Mt. Pleasant High School (Light caseload including general education, special programs, and district evaluation support with increasing caseloads through the year; strong evaluation skills preferred)
Work Schedule:
- Start Date: August 26, 2026 (possibly earlier for professional development)
- End Date: June 10, 2027
- Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute paid lunch
- Hours vary by level:
- Early Childhood: 8:25 AM – 3:55 PM
- Elementary: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Middle School: 7:40 AM – 3:10 PM
- High School: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Delaware SLP license required
- SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Strong evaluation skills, especially for high school caseloads
- Experience working with diverse student populations across multiple grade levels
- Ability to provide both itinerant and building-based services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and address communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide intervention services in school settings
- Participate in district evaluations, particularly at the high school level
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting according to district and state guidelines
This contract position provides an opportunity to support students’ communication needs in a dynamic school district with varied caseloads from preschool to high school.
