Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Middletown, Connecticut
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from April 15 to June 11, serving students in grades 4-8. This contract role is based in Middletown, CT, and involves supporting students at intermediate and middle school levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders
- Collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining detailed records and progress notes
- Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required
- Experience working in schools, preferably with upper elementary and middle school populations
- Knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
