School Speech Therapist | Michigan City, Indiana
Speech-Language Pathologist needed for an onsite contract position in Michigan City, IN, supporting students across a 26-27 week school year at 35 hours per week. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students aged 2 to 22 years with moderate to severe disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide speech language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
- Prepare clear, thorough reports based on student assessments and observations
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives
- Collaborate effectively with parents, educators, and team members on student progress and support strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and teaching license from the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE)
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities
