Early Childhood Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Gretna, LA
A full-time, onsite opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within an elementary school setting in Gretna, Louisiana. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026, following a Monday–Friday schedule aligned with the school calendar.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to school-aged children, focusing on early childhood and elementary grades, including grades 6-8.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student communication goals.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure all speech-language services comply with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active Louisiana SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Pediatric experience, particularly in school settings, is highly desirable.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
