Your expertise will be valued from immediate start through the end of May, working Monday-Friday (35 hours per week) in a dynamic educational environment. Candidate assignment to specific schools and caseload will be determined based on program needs, spanning students across various age groups.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required.
- Active (or eligible) state licensure in Louisiana.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with school-aged children or within educational settings is desirable.
- Thorough understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation.
- Successful completion of required credentialing—including drug screening and district fingerprinting—is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success.
- Maintain timely and accurate records, progress notes, and required district paperwork.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
