School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Menifee, California
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) serving K-8th grade students in an itinerant role. Begin your assignment in mid-August and make a meaningful impact throughout the entire 2026-2027 academic year, concluding in June 2027. This full-time position places you at several educational sites, where your expertise will help shape student success and communication outcomes.
Your strong background in school settings will be vital as you collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to provide both assessments and therapeutic interventions. You’ll participate in IEP meetings, develop intervention plans, and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you’ll be traveling between sites to manage your diverse caseload.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
- California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Demonstrated, extensive school-based experience
- Familiarity with K-8th grade populations and a variety of communication disorders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of interdisciplinary teams
- Prior experience in itinerant or multi-site roles is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to K-8th students
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop IEP goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and consultations
- Support educators and families in implementing communication strategies
- Document progress and maintain compliant records
- Travel between multiple school sites as assigned
