Ideal candidates will possess:
- Active SLP-CCC and eligibility for a Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate
- Prior school-based SLP experience, preferably supporting elementary-aged students
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload of up to 50 students
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between designated sites
- Commitment to participate in required training dates in August, ensuring a smooth start to the academic year
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings
- Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Consulting with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Traveling between assigned schools (for multi-site role) as needed
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and school meetings
This contract begins with training in mid-August, followed by the school year running through early June. The work schedule provides afternoons free by 3 PM, balancing your professional and personal commitments.
