Travel School Speech and Language Pathologist | Mc Farland, California
This opportunity offers a dynamic role providing speech-language pathology services across multiple school sites in McFarland, CA, designed for a dedicated professional passionate about supporting students from preschool through 8th grade. The position involves working as a traveling therapist, roving between Horizon Elementary, Browning Road, and Kern Avenue schools, ensuring each child receives the assessment and therapy support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services including direct therapy and assessments to students ranging from preschool to 8th grade.
- Manage a flexible caseload, focusing on service minutes and comprehensive evaluations.
- Travel daily between assigned school locations, adapting to varied environments calmly and professionally.
- Collaborate closely with educators and staff to facilitate student progress and contribute to individualized education plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification or licensure appropriate for school settings (SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY).
- Strong ability to focus on delivering quality services despite environmental factors.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills, with a cooperative and adaptable approach.
- Experience working with a diverse student population across early childhood to middle school.
- Willingness to travel daily within the school district as a roving clinician.
Work Schedule and Details:
- Start as soon as possible, with an end date of May 29, 2026.
- Work hours are 7.5 hours per day, from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM.
- Position based at multiple elementary school sites.
