Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting, especially with middle and high school students, is highly valued
- Comfortable and skilled in working with students who have a range of needs, from mild to severe
- Strong assessment, therapy, and communication skills
- Flexibility to support both in-person and virtual/hybrid service delivery, if needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress and inclusion
- Document and track student outcomes, maintaining thorough and confidential records
- Provide guidance and education to families and staff regarding communication strategies and resources
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
