Qualifications to Succeed:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Georgia
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations highly valued
- Competence in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide variety of communication disorders
- Effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet each student’s needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic assessments for students exhibiting speech, language, or communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Keep accurate records of student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Offer support and training to staff and parents to promote carryover of skills
