Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Prior experience in both elementary and middle school settings preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with a variety of communication disorders
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and caregivers
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with students across K-8 grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-8 students according to IEPs and school goals
  • Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students suspected of communication disorders
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress
  • Educate and support teachers and families on best practices for supporting communication development at school and at home
