Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Alexandria, VA
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ communication skills across several school settings as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll collaborate with dedicated education professionals and families, using your expertise to help children reach their full potential. Candidates must have availability to work onsite within multiple area schools.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Virginia SLP license (ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required; Clinical Fellows considered)
- Experience in school-based speech therapy, including assessment and treatment planning
- Skilled in working with diverse student populations, including those with articulation, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Able to commit to the full contract term: August 24th, 2026 – June 12th, 2027
- Candidates must provide their zip code for accurate placement at multiple sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students in group and individual sessions
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and write detailed assessment reports
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to foster student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and team conferences as needed
