Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Macomb, Michigan
Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on high school students’ lives through your expertise in speech-language pathology. In this contract role, you’ll work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:15am to 2:15pm, providing in-person, onsite support to general education students in grades 9-12. This extended assignment runs from your earliest availability through June 11, 2027 — giving you the chance to build lasting relationships and see true student progress over time.
Your days will involve a meaningful blend of clinical and collaborative work. You’ll be monitoring students’ progress, reviewing grades, supporting Section 504 Plan monitoring and compliance, and joining forces with counselors, teachers, and parents to ensure each student has the support they need to thrive. Expect the opportunity to take part in staff meetings and to communicate regularly with families in-person, via email, and by phone.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
- Current CCC-SLP credential, Clinical Fellow (CFY), or SLPA with relevant school or healthcare experience
- Experience or coursework in pediatric speech-language services, ideally in school or teletherapy settings
- Understanding of Section 504 Plans and compliance requirements preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
