You’ll work 37.5 hours per week in a vibrant elementary school environment located near Macomb, MI, collaborating with dedicated educators and other professionals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current or eligible Speech-Language Pathologist certification in the state
- SLP-CCC credential preferred; consideration for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants
- Previous experience in a school setting is ideal, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct speech therapy services, both individual and group, in line with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and integrate strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records, gather data, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt to changing caseloads and shifting priorities as needed
