School Speech Therapist - Lowell, Massachusetts
This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role is based in Burlington, MA, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days. This contract opportunity is designed for the continuous school year (CSY) and provides a chance to work in a high school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Massachusetts
- Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to school-age children
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal education regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
