This position requires a full-time commitment with assignments varying by location, including itinerant roles. The assignment is travel-based within the LA Unified School District, offering diverse experiences across different campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students aged 3-22 with caseloads ranging from 50-60.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapy consistent with district guidelines.
- Collaborate with educational staff and participate in bi-weekly training cohorts offered by the district.
- Utilize available support structures including SLP trainers and lead SLP consultations.
- Manage timely documentation and communication regarding student progress.
- Participate fully on-site with no remote or hybrid work options.
Qualifications:
- Active California SLP License and valid SLP Teaching Credential.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship (CF) or possess CCC certification (SLPAs not considered).
- New graduates with 0-2 years experience and seasoned professionals up to 10+ years are welcome.
- Availability to start ASAP through June 10, 2026, with flexible entry dates aligned with cohort schedules.
- Willingness to travel within the district for assigned schools.
