School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Los Angeles, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the LA area as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). With a start date as soon as possible and coverage through early June 2027, this full-time, on-site role aligns with school hours (7:30am–4:00pm), Monday through Friday. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact while collaborating in a dynamic educational setting.
Expect an itinerant assignment across an average of two schools (up to four, never fewer than one), with a hard cap ensuring your daily commute will not exceed 1 hour or 20 miles. Your caseload will consist of 55–60 students—providing direct support, but case management duties are handled by on-site managers, so your focus remains on clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Active California SLP license.
- Valid CTC document (preliminary or clear SLP credential or Certificate of Clearance).
- ASHA CCC preferred; Clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered if proper supervision is secured (no SLPA applicants at this time).
- Prior school-based experience is an asset but not required.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in pre-K through high school, addressing individualized education plan (IEP) goals.
- Complete required assessments—costs for assessment materials will be reimbursed.
- Communicate progress and recommendations to school staff and families as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student services.
