Speech Pathology - Los Angeles, CA
A school-based opportunity is available in Los Angeles, CA seeking a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist who holds the Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT) credential. This contract position starts ASAP and runs through June 5, 2026, serving students onsite within the school setting.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments for Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT) services and delivering these specialized services to students. The provider will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support children with hearing loss or auditory processing needs, focusing on optimizing listening and spoken language development.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- National LSLS Cert. AVT (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist – Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist) credential
- Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
- Experience providing Auditory-Verbal Therapy and conducting related assessments
- Ability to work onsite within the school to engage students and staff effectively
- Strong communication skills and dedication to student progress
