A specialized opportunity is available for a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist – Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT) to provide critical assessment and ongoing Auditory Verbal Therapy services within a school setting in Long Beach, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the need for continued Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) services for students.
- Provide direct AVT services once per month for 60 minutes if the assessment indicates ongoing necessity.
- Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to support student communication development.
- Maintain compliance with professional and state licensing requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold the national LSLS Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (Cert. AVT) credential.
- Possess a valid state license as an SLP, Audiologist, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH).
- Experience providing auditory verbal therapy in educational or clinical settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
