Speech Language Pathologist in Los Angeles, CA
A part-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Los Angeles, CA. This role is tailored for a licensed SLP who values collaboration, mentoring, and active participation in student IEPs within a school-based environment.
Position Overview:
- Part-Time Schedule: 7 hours per week
- IEP Meetings: 6 hours weekly
- Mentoring/Coaching: 1 hour weekly with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Contract Duration: Start ASAP through June 2026
- Setting: Onsite/In-Person service delivery
Responsibilities:
- Attend and actively contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Provide clinical guidance and supervise SLPAs delivering direct student services
- Ensure compliance with documentation and service guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with school staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor and coach SLPAs to maintain high-quality service delivery
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred or equivalent state certification
- Experience in school-based settings highly desirable
- Strong collaboration skills and mentorship experience
