Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Los Alamos, California
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students from TK through 8th grade for the upcoming school year. Situated near Solvang and Los Alamos, CA, this part-time role is designed for passionate professionals ready to make a difference in a single supportive school environment. The assignment covers the 2026-2027 academic year, including valuable preparation and wrap-up time—totaling 1600 hours across 200 days—with a diverse caseload of 58 students.
You’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with educators and families, contribute to each child’s communication and learning skills, and utilize your expertise in teletherapy and on-site services. Compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $55 per hour, reflecting your commitment and specialized knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
- Active CA CTC credential or documentation of progress toward earning your CTC permit
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with ASHA CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Prior experience in school settings and working with pediatric populations
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and interest in innovative service delivery
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and social communication disorders for a mixed age caseload
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Provide both in-person and teletherapy sessions
- Maintain detailed documentation and prepare student progress reports
- Engage with teachers, administrators, and parents to support holistic learning
- Deliver speech therapy services for 1 school location, covering all assigned students
