School Speech and Language Pathologist | Thornton, Colorado
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the developmental progress of young learners in an intensive pre-school classroom setting. This contract-based position specializes in providing speech-language pathology services within an elementary school environment, where collaboration and expertise directly shape student achievement. The assignment is full-time, with 37.5 hours per week on-site, focused at a single campus, working alongside dedicated professionals and supporting families.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required
- Colorado Department of Education Certification required
- SLP-CCC strongly preferred; outstanding SLP-CF applicants will be considered
- Experience in school settings, particularly with pre-school age children
- Knowledge and experience working with IEPs, assessments, and measurable goal monitoring
- Preferred candidates will have completed ELL training, an ESL endorsement, or hold a Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement (LDE)
- Ability to provide guidance or assist in supervision of SLPAs a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language services in an intensive pre-school classroom environment
- Conduct assessments and develop IEPs tailored to student needs
- Monitor student progress toward objectives and document growth
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize student success
- Support or help supervise SLP assistants as required
