Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Littlerock, CA
Step into an onsite contract opportunity supporting students’ communication skills in a Pre-K through 8th grade school setting. Engage with a diverse caseload—typically around 55 students—where your expertise can make a real difference at pivotal stages of their growth. This position requires approximately 37.5 hours each week and involves a fulfilling blend of IEP development, evaluations, direct and indirect therapeutic services, and ongoing support for both students and educational teams.
Ideal candidates for this role bring a broad foundation in pediatric speech-language pathology, as well as experience with typical school-based responsibilities. Teletherapy knowledge is valued, but the primary duties are onsite, making in-person collaboration crucial.
Qualifications:
- Active CA Speech-Language Pathologist License or valid CA CTC required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will both be considered
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, evaluations, and therapeutic intervention for a pediatric (PreK-8th) population
- Experience in both healthcare and school-based SLP settings a plus
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and student evaluations
- Develop and manage IEPs in partnership with the school team
- Provide direct therapy and indirect consultative services
- Monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
- Support students, families, and teachers with evidence-based recommendations
