School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lithonia, Georgia
Step into a dynamic school-based setting serving an elementary student population, where you can make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Work onsite within an engaging and supportive educational environment, collaborating with staff to help students achieve their communication goals from July 2026 through May 2027.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Georgia SLP License or a valid GaPSC (will eventually require both, but one is acceptable to start)
- Open to Speech-Language Assistants certified through GaPSC
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (CF) credentials welcomed
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs
- Commitment to professional integrity and ethical practice
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary students within the school setting
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and document progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student growth
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
- Adapt intervention techniques to meet diverse learning needs
- Stay current with best practices in speech and language therapy
