A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Maryland SLP License is needed for a contracted role within a K-12 public school setting located in Lexington Park, MD. This contract position will provide speech therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, supporting their communication development and academic success throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding student needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience delivering school-based speech-language pathology services within K-12 settings strongly desired
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse student populations and school staff
Details and Schedule:
- Location: Lexington Park, MD
- School Year Contract, starting ASAP through June 9th
- Typical hours: approximately 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
