Qualifications and Preferred Experience
- Current, active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in school-based settings desired.
- For the elementary role: experience with K–5 populations and managing IEPs.
- For the specialized setting: background working with students with complex, low-incidence disabilities, including knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
- Confident in conducting evaluations, developing IEP goals, and delivering direct/consultative therapy.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to the development of effective, individualized IEPs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and participate in IEP meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress tracking, and communication with educators and families.
- Deliver both individual and group interventions tailored to student needs.
