Speech Pathology - Lewisburg, PA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school-based environment. You’ll work onsite, providing crucial speech and language services to elementary students (K-2, ages 5-8) and middle schoolers (grades 6-8). With a manageable schedule of three student-facing hours per day, this part-time assignment allows you to make a significant impact without the commitment of a full workweek.
This short-term position spans the following summer dates: July 6-9, July 13-16, and July 20-23. You’ll have the chance to work directly with students during engaging, concentrated days, offering both assessment and therapeutic support to help each student reach their communication goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state license (SLP) required
- Proven experience within a school setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with both young children and pre-adolescents
- Ability to create a supportive, inclusive environment for diverse student needs
- Comfortable working onsite within a collaborative team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for K-2 and middle school students
- Track and document student progress and outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster student success
- Communicate with families, sharing strategies and progress updates as needed
