This role focuses on K-12 learners, providing Speech-Language Pathology services within a collaborative educational setting. With a consistent 37-hour work week, your expertise will ensure students receive the support necessary to achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license (or eligibility) in Maryland
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFs will be considered
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and professional development activities
- Provide training and resources to teachers and families supporting students’ communication needs
