Speech Language Pathologist in Lenoir, NC
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving PreK-8th grade students as a valued Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role spans from ASAP through May 2027 and allows you to make a meaningful impact with a manageable caseload of around 35-40 students. You'll work a steady 37.5 hours per week in a supportive educational setting near Lenoir, NC.
Bring your skills and expertise to a collaborative school environment where you'll play a key role in helping students develop essential communication abilities. Your focus will be on delivering quality, evidence-based therapy while working closely with teachers, families, and other professionals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with PreK-8th students (preferred)
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to varying student needs
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s goals
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with all state and federal requirements
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development as needed
