Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active AL SLP certification (ABESPA or DOE; candidates with one certification may start while completing the other)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, especially with students in upper elementary and middle grades
- Excellent communication, initiative, and collaboration skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and communication needs for students in 3rd to 6th grades
- Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions to promote student progress
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning and growth
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, goals, and therapy notes in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
