A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinician is sought for a rewarding travel position within a supportive public school district in Las Cruces, NM. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 60 students, including support for three Structured Communication Classrooms (SCCs).
  • Focus on current therapy goals and ongoing caseload needs; compensatory services plans are being handled by the district.
  • Collaborate with a welcoming team, including two bilingual SLPs, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Gain experience or support students using AAC; willingness to learn is valued.
  • Maintain state licensure requirements and PED certification compliance to meet district standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico state SLP license prior to start date (must have applied if not yet licensed).
  • PED certification through the NM Department of Education required, though can be pending at start.
  • Experience or interest working in school-based speech therapy settings.
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged but monolingual professionals are also welcome.
  • Willingness to engage with a culturally diverse student population.
  • Ability to work onsite during the school day; part-time availability may be considered upon inquiry.
