A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Lakewood, WA, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This onsite contract position offers a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, providing comprehensive speech and language services within a school setting.
Location: Lakewood, WA
Contract Duration: ASAP through June 12, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: K-12, 45-50 students
Work Setting: Onsite only (no virtual work)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state of Washington or willingness to obtain one
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting as an SLP is highly desirable
- Completion of fingerprinting through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) or willingness to complete the process
- Ability to manage a full caseload with professionalism and care
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language interventions tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support students’ communication development
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies
- Participate in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines related to school-based SLP services
