A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Eden Prairie, MN, serving students in a small charter school environment. This role supports a diverse caseload of approximately 35 students in grades K–8 (ages 5–14) with varying academic, behavioral, and related service needs. The position is two days per week with the potential to extend to 2-3 days as needed, offering flexibility in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to K–8 students through individualized and group sessions
- Collaborate with a special education team to implement IEP goals effectively
- Utilize a combination of push-in, pull-out, and consult models to deliver services
- Manage documentation and IEPs using SPEDForms
- Adapt services to teletherapy, hybrid, or in-person models based on student needs and program requirements
- Provide supervision to SLPA candidates when applicable
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensure as an SLP or SLPA with appropriate credentials
- CCC certification for SLP candidates is preferred
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K–8 populations
- Comfort with teletherapy and hybrid service delivery methods
- Strong collaborative skills for working within a multidisciplinary special education team
- Ability to engage students with academic and behavioral challenges positively
