If you are a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a difference in a supportive educational setting, consider this contract opportunity in Florida for the upcoming academic year. Immediate openings are available for Florida-licensed SLPs ready to support students in a dynamic school community. Both seasoned therapists and Clinical Fellows will find a welcoming environment with supervision available if needed. Please note, at this time, only in-person candidates with an SLP license are being considered—SLPAs and virtual applicants are not eligible.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state of Florida
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow candidates welcome (supervision provided for CFs)
- Recent experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering student growth in diverse learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of students in middle/high school settings
- Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district standards
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as required
Position Details:
- Part-time contracted roles available at Taylor Middle High and Hinson Middle
- Contract spans from August 4, 2026, through May 28, 2027
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours each week
