Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Tehachapi, CA
Step into an impactful role providing speech-language services for a vibrant TK-12 district serving approximately 3,650 students. This contract position calls for a skilled SLP to deliver onsite services across both an elementary (TK-5th) and a high school early college campus (9th-12th). Your expertise will support students ranging from general education to those with moderate to severe needs.
This fully onsite opportunity is confirmed through June 2027 and is open to dedicated travel professionals who are ready to make a difference in the classroom setting. With a caseload potentially up to 60 students, you’ll collaborate with a passionate multidisciplinary team and play a key role in student growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CA Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license with CCCs
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency supporting a range of disabilities, from mild to severe
- Ability to manage caseloads for both elementary (TK-5) and high school (9th-12th) students
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability for an onsite, multi-campus environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative services for students in general and special education
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting
- Support transition planning for graduating students
