Essential Qualifications:
- Hold an active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Prior experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education procedures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to meet the varied needs of a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify communication disorders and determine intervention needs
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in partnership with teachers and parents
- Maintain clear documentation, progress reports, and data on student performance
- Support teachers and engage families with strategies that promote student success
- Contribute to IEP meetings and educational planning discussions as a valued team member
