Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure to practice as an SLP in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Organizational abilities to manage a caseload across multiple sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for K-12 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct and consultative therapy in both individual and group settings
- Engage with teachers and parents to support student progress and carryover of skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Offer staff in-service training and participate in professional development activities as needed
