Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a thriving school community near the New Orleans area. This full-time, onsite position is ideal for dedicated SLPs who thrive on making a positive difference in children’s lives. With a caseload and number of assigned schools to be determined, you’ll provide services Monday through Friday, following the district schedule, and working 35 hours per week.
Preferred candidates will have a strong foundation in speech-language interventions within a school setting and be adaptable to changing caseloads and environments. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to ensure every student receives individualized support for their communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required)
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- School SLP experience is beneficial
- Ability to pass district-required drug screen and fingerprinting
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and professional requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights
