Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure as required for school-based SLPs
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and document student progress efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within the school population
- Design and implement effective therapy plans tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student participation and achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school and state policies
- Provide consultation and resources to teachers and families to support student success in and out of the classroom
